Dear Partners!

The year 2021 is ending.

New Year’s Eve is a traditional time to take stock and discuss plans.

The year 2021, like the previous year, passed in the shadow of a pandemic that kept the world in suspense. With soaring prices for materials and components, a global logistics crisis, the introduction of local lockdowns and restrictions on movement between countries, photovoltaic industry operations were far from stable. However, despite the significant losses and costs to overcome these difficulties, Swiss Solar has ample reason to consider this year a productive one.

This year, the company almost doubled its production of solar modules and passed the 1 GW milestone of total capacity. The transition of production facilities to the production of modules based on 182-cell has been fully completed. Thirty-eight product supply contracts were signed.

In line with the company’s growth strategy, Swiss Solar continued to increase its presence in the European market. In October this year, a new distribution center in Rotterdam in the Netherlands began serving customers. The new center made it possible to receive orders directly from the warehouse without having to wait for production, thereby significantly reducing delivery times.

The growing demand for bifacial modules on global markets and the long-term forecasts of analysts for the sustainability of this trend were the reason for the decision to build the company’s new production plant. As part of the first phase of the project, 50,000,000 Swiss francs were invested in 2021.

Swiss Solar also received a high rating from the international expert company TÜV Nord Cert GmbH, which confirmed the right of the company to mark its products with a special symbol (TÜV NORD type-tested) – known worldwide as a sign of quality and product safety.

As part of improving the company’s management system, an international audit of quality management system was conducted and a certificate confirming its compliance with ISO 9001:2015 was obtained.

Swiss Solar is justifiably proud of its successes but does not see them as a reason to slow down the company’s development and does not intend to stop there. Swiss Solar’s plans for 2022 include:

  • increasing investment in the construction of the plant.
  • launching of three bifacial modules production lines.
  • preparing to enter the US and Brazilian markets with new products – obtaining certificates, monitoring market conditions, concluding contracts with distributors.

It should be noted that all our achievements would not have been possible without our partners – their support, trust and active participation. Today, Swiss Solar would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of you for being with us during this difficult time and for not losing faith in our success.

We wish you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas mood, realization of the innermost desires, prosperity of business, family welfare and prosperity in the New Year!

On December 24th, Swiss Solar is going on a Christmas break, which will last until January 10th, 2022.

We bid you farewell to meet again in the new year, 2022, and continue our fruitful cooperation.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
